Nick Cannon said he respects men who’ve gotten a vasectomy, but he has no plans to stop procreating.
During the Monday, March 17, episode of his and Courtney Bee’s “We Playin’ Spades” podcast, Cannon’s two guests Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder revealed they’ve both had vasectomies.
“It’s another man at this table that needs to think about that s—,” Crowder, 41, teased during the episode, turning to Cannon, who has fathered 12 children.
Cannon joked, “Feel like this is an intervention,” before confessing that undergoing the surgery would be “the responsible thing to do.”
However, Cannon declared he’s “not done.” The Masked Singer host teased that he felt like he was “being judged” for not wanting to stop procreating.
When Bee asked Cannon if he wanted to have more kids with one of his current baby mamas or would rather find a new woman, he was open to both options.
“I don’t know,” Cannon confessed. “That’s the thing. I leave it to the Lord.”
After getting flak from everyone on the podcast, Cannon made a bet that if the guests beat him and Bee at cards, “I’m gonna get a vasectomy … consultation.”
The podcast hosts ultimately lost to Clark, 45, and Crowder, so Cannon playfully asked, “What’s the doctor’s name?”
Cannon became a father in April 2011 when he and then-wife Mariah Carey welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe. The couple divorced in 2014 after eight years of marriage.
The Drumline actor has since welcomed 10 more kids with five other women. He shares sons Golden, 8, and Rise, 2, and daughter Powerful Queen, 4, with Brittany Bell. Cannon and ABBY DE LA ROSA share twins Zillion and Zion, 3, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, 2.
Cannon and Selling Sunset’s Bre knew are parents of son Legendary, 2, while he shares daughter Onyx, 2, with Clean Cole.
Alyssa Scott welcomed son Zen with Cannon in June 2021, but the little boy died five months later due to a brain tumor. The pair later welcomed daughter Halonow 2.
While Cannon can be stretched thin at times as a father, he exclusively told Us Weekly in September 2024 that he knows he can rely on his partners to pick up the slack.
“I thank God for their mothers,” he said. “They kind of plan accordingly, and they don’t have to be, but they’re real empathetic to my process. So, you know, they do things. I’ve seen them make so many sacrifices, so I can be there and haven’t missed a birth or a birthday yet.”
