Kelly Monaco is ready to speak out and she’s not holding back.
Fresh off her exit from General Hospitalthe former Playboy playmate has announced a new podcast, “Bad Bunnies,” which she will host with fellow ex-playmate Moaker.
“Unfiltered. Untamed. Unapologetic. We’re bringing you Hollywood secrets, wild stories, pop culture tea, and real talk — nothing is off-limits!” teased Monaco, 48, in a post via Instagram on Thursday, March 13.
“Before we drop our first episode, we want to hear from you!” she continued. “What topics do you want us to spill on? Reality TV chaos? Dating disasters? Hollywood drama? Let us know in the comments!”
The podcast will be Monaco’s first major project since leaving General Hospital late last year. Monaco had played Sam McCall on the long-running soap opera since 2003, appearing in more than 2,300 episodes. In August, Us Weekly confirmed that her General Hospital run was coming to an end. (Soap Opera Network was first to report the news of her departure.)
Sam was killed off in Monaco’s final episode. The actress took to Instagram after shooting her last scene, where she admitted she still didn’t fully understand her exit.
“Last scene with the Davis girls. 😘🥲🙏🏻,” she wrote via Instagram in October. “Still doesn’t make any sense to me.”
She went into further detail in a since-deleted Instagram commentreplying to a fan who called Sam “monotone, had no primary roles and just boring.”
“‘No primary role’.. do your homework,” she replied. “When Billy Miller was fired, Sam’s storyline stopped. Stripping Sam of every characteristic she had,” she wrote. “Something I worked for decades to build… Slowly dismantling her, into a character that I did not recognize, let alone the audience. Call it what you will… retaliation at it (sic) finest. I will give a proper statement. The truth will set you free.”
While she hasn’t clarified why she was written off the show, Monaco debunked the rumor that she refused to take a pay cut or reduce her number of episodes, telling Soap Opera Network in September, “I took the cut. That’s all I’ll say in this moment.”
Monaco hasn’t given more specifics, so naturally, the comments below her podcast announcement were filled with fans asking her to clarify what happened with General Hospital.
“I want the real tea on why you and GH went separate ways… 👀👂🧐🙃” one fan wrote.
“Can’t wait @kelly_m23 !!! Your fans definitely want to know what really happened at GH,” another chimed in.
